What is kitesurfing/ kiteboarding?

A kitesurfer harnesses the power of the wind with a large controllable power kite to be propelled across the water on a kiteboard similar to a wakeboard or a small surfboard, with or without footstraps or bindings. (kitesurfing and kiteboarding are the same thing!!)

What is Stand Up Paddle Boarding?

Stand up paddle boarders stand on their boards and use a paddle to propel themselves through the water. Variations include flat water paddling for outdoor recreation, fitness, or sightseeing, racing on lakes, large rivers and canals, surfing on ocean waves, paddling in river rapids (whitewater SUP), Paddle board yoga and even fishing.

What if the weather conditions are not suitable for my lesson?

Mother nature can be sometimes a bit moody and it can happen that this will have an adverse effect on your lesson.
Safety is our priority and when we see that the forecast is unsuitable we will contact you the day before the course. We will reschedule your course for a later date of your choice.

Is kitesurfing dangerous?

Like with any sport,  as long as you take the necessary precautions, kitesurfing is completely safe. But this is only when you know what you are doing. That’s why we offer kitesurf lessons. Easy Riders uses the latest and safest kitesurf equipment and teaching practices available.

Are the instructors qualified?

Easy Riders owner Andy Gratwick wrote the book on how to kitesurf, he is also the BKSA and BSUPA head of training. Hence he personally hand picked the best BKSA ( British Kitesurfing Association) and BSUPA ( British SUP Association) instructors in the country. You couldn’t be in better hands with our instructor team.

How long do I need to learn to kitesurf?

Do not expect to be up and riding on your first day (or second probably for that matter). Everybody has a different learning curve, but we find after 3/4 days of lessons you will be getting the confidence to practise kitesurfing independently. Riding consistently left and right will take a few more hours or days but everybody can get there!

Do I need to be an experienced kite flyer?

You don’t need any kite or surf experience. On our Day 1 beginner course you get taught all the basics of kite flying.

How many people are in a group lesson?

We believe that everybody deserves the best service and attention in our courses, so we work on a  2 students per instructor ratio. The instructor can spend maximum time with each student and this allows our students to progress the quickest.

Is there parking?

Like a lot of beaches around the country, everywhere at Sandbanks and our kitesurf spot on Shore Road it’s payed parking.
But parallel to Shore road on Brudenell Ave and Brudenell Rd is all free parking.

Where is Easy Riders located?

We now have two locations which are;
